iPads for Teaching & Learning
This program aims to explore the extent to which the use of iPads can potentially impact teaching, learning, and research when applied in the service of specific goals. iPads and requested apps are awarded quarterly to select faculty and instructors to support their course, workshop, or research project.
With Gradescope paper-based assignments can be scanned, analyzed and quickly graded with a rubric to provide feedback to students on common problems. Available now on Canvas.
Poll Everywhere provides faculty with an audience response system that can support active learning in the classroom. Conduct polls in real time or assess student understanding anonymously.
Other Campus Learning Technologies
Piazza is an online Q&A platform that helps students who are stuck on homework problems get unstuck with the help of their classmates, TAs, and professors. Save time and help students learn using the power of community.
Canvas is a Learning Management System that delivers courses to the Stanford community and integrates Gradescope, Panopto, Harmonize and other approved Learning Technology Integrations.
In many classrooms a tablet provides options to host a Zoom meeting with one touch, and these can also be initiated and scheduled from your laptop or mobile device as well.
Panopto is a video capture and delivery platform available to any teaching team. Integrated with single sign-on via the Canvas Learning Management System.
The Qualtrics tool is an easy-to-use, full-featured, web-based tool for creating and conducting online surveys. May be used to store and transmit Low, Moderate, and High Risk Data, as defined by the Information Security Office.
