Neurodiversity-Focused Group Coaching

Main content start

CTL is committed to supporting the educational success and empowerment of all students, especially those with unique learning needs. We are excited to offer a group coaching program specifically designed for graduate/co-term students with ADHD, learning differences/disabilities (LD), autism and executive functioning challenges. Our Neurodiversity-Focused Academic Group Coaching supports students formally diagnosed with these conditions, as well as those who self-identify as neurodiverse.

What is group coaching?

Every week, from weeks 3 through 10, you will meet with a professional coach and 4–5 neurodiverse peers. Your group will have a specific assigned time that it will meet every week. It will meet for 60 minutes every week. Group members are expected to attend all 7 meetings to help contribute to the group’s overall success.

During weekly meetings, students will take turns to:

  • identify goals you want to achieve, as well as topics or questions you want to discuss with the group
  • give and receive advice on neurodiverse-friendly study habits and learning strategies
  • share your experiences as a neurodiverse student at Stanford
  • celebrate your successes–big and small
  • receive support to keep you motivated
  • identify new goals for the next week.

This is perfect for a student who is looking for a neurodiverse affirming and supportive community as well as accountability to help them meet their academic goals. You do not need an OAE referral to attend our groups; all brains are welcome!

If you have any questions or concerns about the group, you can email Tim Randazzo.

Students can join our coaching groups up through week 4. If it is too late to join our group, you can complete our quick interest form to receive updates on future term offerings. We’ll contact you when the group coaching request form is live.
