Charlotte Burks
Charlotte Burks (she/her) is an undergraduate student at Stanford studying Classics and Communication, and is a part of the Notation in Science Communication program. Through her work, she hopes to break down complex ideas and share them accessibly and creatively. Inspired by her childhood in “The World’s Fruit Basket,” Reedley, CA, she writes about science, agriculture, and art.
At Stanford, Charlotte writes for the Stanford Daily and works as a communications intern with The Natural Capital Project. She is also an active member of Stanford Sprout Up, where she teaches first and second graders about environmental science. In her free time, Charlotte plays music and peruses Pinterest.
In her position as communications specialist, Charlotte works to enhance awareness for CTL's programming around campus, whether for undergraduates or graduate students. She hopes that as students read social media posts and emails, they feel welcomed and aware that there are many people and resources available for them.
