Human-Centered AI

Learning goals are framed as questions in a course where the field is changing rapidly.

AI-Limited, Learning Goals

Course Info:

  • CS 139: "Human-Centered AI"
  • Fall 2024
  • Instructors: Peter Norvig, Daniel M. Russell

Pedagogy:

On the first day of class, instructors Peter Norvig and Daniel Russell frame the course as "not a tightly scripted story" and point out that "things change rapidly in AI...Even during a 10-week course." Given the fluid nature of this field, articulating the learning goals as open questions may help students meet new possibilities as the term unfolds. Students are allowed to use AI with disclosure.
