Subject Matter Tutoring

Help your students develop the skills they need to be successful by encouraging them to check out our free subject tutoring. Specially trained peer tutors are available for drop-in sessions and appointments.

Foreign Language Conversation Partner Program

We can help your students develop oral proficiency in foreign languages through our free foreign language conversation program. Students meet with peers who are specially trained in their target language to practice conversation in an informal setting.

Students can schedule an academic coaching session online to get started immediately, or visit our Academic Skill Resources to find out more about our workshops, study halls, neurodiversity-focused program offerings, and other academic resources.

Want help navigating the ups and downs of academic life at Stanford? Feeling overwhelmed by your coursework, anxious about exams, or simply curious if the way you’re studying is actually working for you? Sign up for a free one-to-one academic coaching session. Academic coaches can help you come up with an action plan to address things like procrastination, motivation, focus, time management, exam preparation and anxiety, reading and note-taking, learning as a neurodivergent student, and much more. Want to meet with a peer to practice your conversation skills in a foreign language? CTL offers free conversation practice on an appointment basis for this course and tutoring support for a number of other courses. Sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), language conversation partners are available to students taking –LANG courses taught through the Stanford Language Center. LCPs can help you develop conversation skills, practice different scenarios (giving directions, shopping, ordering food), and rehearse oral drills and textbook activities.
