We all want to make our course more accessible to all students and support our students when they need accommodations, and work effectively with the Office of Accessible Education. When you receive a notice from the OAE, what is the procedure of creating an accommodation plan? Do you have a say in this process? Who should you contact in the OAE office? You might have many questions about collaborating with OAE to support your students.

In this workshop, OAE advisors will walk us through case studies of how they have worked with individual instructors to customize their accommodation plans to balance student needs, the course learning goals, and practicality of implementation. We will also leave ample Q&A time for you to ask questions you have about working with OA. In this workshop, we will explore ways to address this teaching challenge, including “Instructor Talk”.

Come and connect with your Lecturers and Academic Teaching Staff (LATS) colleagues.
