Having a DVD recording of your class is an invaluable way to see what your teaching looks like to your students. You'll find that watching the DVD gives you an ideal opportunity to analyze your teaching and decide whether you want to make any changes.
To request a DVD recording, please fill out this online request form at least one week prior to your desired recording date. With the exception of one of Stanford's busiest weeks, Homecoming, we will arrange for a recording technician for you regardless of where or what time of day you teach. Please note that CTL hires a third party (Event Labor Services) to do the recording, and occasionally they may not be able to accommodate the request, particularly if it is not made at least one week before the event.
The DVD is yours to view on your own, with a colleague, and/or, as we recommend, with one of CTL's professional consultants. For your convenience, CTL will keep a copy of your DVD for one year. If you need a copy kept for a longer period, please let us know at the time you request your taping.
You can contact the CTL at 723-1326 or email us at teachingcenter@stanford.edu to set up a consultation.
