Staff Profile
Cristen Carlson J. Osborne's connection with Stanford University has been life long—beginning while her parents were students living in married student housing near Alpine Road. She attended Palo Alto High School and Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo where she started as a home economics major and finished with Journalism and English literature. After married life on a cattle ranch in the Sierra foothills, she, with her two daughters, moved back on campus in 1980 to work and to be close to her parents, Donald and Ann C. Carlson.
Cristy's interests include her daughters and mother, women's health issues, pets, plants, jazz, art of New Mexico, children's literature, continuing a degree in early childhood education, volunteering with Stanford Staffers.
