Amy received her Masters in Education in 2003 from the University of Rochester in New York State. After finishing her degree she moved from the snowy, white hills of Western New York to the sandy, white beaches of Pensacola, FL. There she spent a few years teaching middle school. In August of 2006, she headed west to return to life on a college campus in a different mode. The main motivation for coming to Stanford was her husband's acceptance into the Ph. D. program, but the opportunity to work at CTL was a close second!

As Tutoring and Academic Skills Specialist, Amy's primary responsibility is to manage the undergraduate peer tutors. Her goal for the position is to make sure that the tutoring offered at Stanford is of the highest quality and effectiveness.

Since there have been some major climatic changes over the last few years the ways she spends time outdoors is constantly changing. Sledding, sleeping on the beach, walking the streets of quaint towns, and just plain, old hiking have all fit in somewhere. In the rest of her free time Amy enjoys reading, cooking, doing yoga, and just spending time with her husband and friends.
