Adina Glickman joined the staff at the Center for Teaching and Learning as the Assistant Director for Academic Support in September, 2004. She was the Assistant Director for Peer and Academic Support and the Learning Skills Specialist at Stanford University’s Undergraduate Advising Center since 2001. Adina works with students individually, through residence-based workshops and in courses she has designed in the areas of study skills, time management, learning strategies and learning styles. Before coming to Stanford, Adina was an Educational Counselor at Keene State College in New Hampshire, where she also maintained a private psychotherapy practice.
Adina earned her B.A. from Reed College in 1984, and received a Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University in 1991. Adina is a licensed clinical social worker and integrates these skills into her efforts to support students in identifying and addressing academic challenges.
Adina has co-authored Over the Influence: The Harm Reduction Guide to Managing Drugs and Alcohol (Guilford, 2003). She has also completed two screenplays, “The Garden Tender” and “Mangled Care.” Adina and her husband Whit are raising two boys.
