Mr. and Mrs. Prince: How an Extraordinary Eighteenth-Century Family Moved Out of Slavery and Into Legend, Professor Gerzina merges comprehensive research and grand storytelling to reveal the true story of a remarkable pre-Civil War African American family.
About Professor Gerzina
Professor Gerzina received her Ph.D. in English from Stanford. Prior to her current position at Dartmouth, she was a tenured professor at Vassar College and at Barnard College, Columbia University. She is the author and editor of several books, including Carrington and Black London (a New York Times notable book). She has won Fulbright and National Endowment for the Humanities grants and hosts “The Book Show,” a nationally syndicated weekly radio program.
